Well if parties is the only thing that is connecting you with friends than you should reconsider how strong the friendships are.

All friendships are based on something, and that something is the variable that defines the strenght of friendship.

Sorry I didn't explain properly. I actually didn't use Facebook for a long time. I got bored one day and logged on and I saw all these things my so called friends were doing together for like a year! while NEVER inviting me. I'm thinking WTF. Did I do something wrong or something? Man that looks really bad...

Did you ask them if there was a reason you weren't asked to join them?  Could you ask them if you did something wrong?

It happened to me (a few years ago) several times, because they were indeed organizing things on facebook and just forgot that not everyone is on facebook. I ended up joining fb, and it solved the issue. (They had my phone number). I am not sure it is the case for you, but that's how it went for me.

I'd probably feel hurt too, or at least it would be my first reaction. As the others said, however, it may be worth talking about it with them, but it may be a sign that they are not great friends for you. I would probably want to potentially not be too close to people like that?

Well madmax, at this point, I would be asking myself why I consider them friends. Maybe they consider you a lesser friend or an acquaintance, and therefore not part of their "circle". I'm just guessing here because you haven't given us much to go on. I would ask them directly why they are leaving you out. Better to find out the truth than to always be wondering why.
