ChadB74
Hi, New here, I think I'm in the right area. Anyhoo, 42 yr old man, I've been on various meds for what I thought at first was just insomnia, later to become depression and anxiety, later still to become bipolar 2, or unleaded bipolar as I call it. I have trouble with worrying, usually about dying/death, get worked up easily, bad anxiety, negative self image, used to drink quite a bit and have at times mis-used the percocet's I have for my L3-5 disc herniations and arthritis. I work in an auto plant so yes I have pain. Percocets seem to make me feel better than other meds, right now I am on seroquel 200mg at night, 100mg zoloft and 100mg (starting dose) wellbutrin, as well as klonopin as needed. That brings me to the point of my rambling, does the amped up/jittery feeling from the wellbutrin wear off? I'm only on 1/3 of the therapeautic dose, so far I can't say I like how I feel on it. Southern Discomfort
Greetings! I haven't been on bupropion (Wellbutrin) but the usual consensus is with drugs is that you may get side effects when you start taking a drug that soon wear off. For example, I got food cravings when I started risperidone, it wore off after about two weeks. Give it a go, a good length of time, if it's still there and you can't live with it tell your doctor and they'll do something about it.

It's too subjective; Everyone metabolizes these meds differently, everyone's chemistry is different. For me 10/325 perc's don't work so well anymore, for others they might make them pass out. For me I didn't have much of the jittery feeling to begin with. But if I did, it has all worn off. 6 hours ago, Southern Discomfort said: Give it a go, a good length of time, if it's still there and you can't live with it tell your doctor and they'll do something about it. I agree. Definitely I would give the wellbutrin some time ... and if you are still having problems, I'd ask your DR about it.

AnxietyGirl74
I'm an anxious person by nature and any effect Wellbutrin ever had on me that caused a jittery feeling definitely wore off a long time ago. I've been on it a couple years now, so it should go away. If it doesn't, you may want to speak with your doctor about another med. If possible, I would try giving it about 4-8 weeks, though. OP: In my experience, it gets milder but doesn't go away. I've always had to take something with it to counter the side effects.

ChadB74
If you think the F150 Raptor is cool, then yes, I help build that 1st gen Ford Lightning as well Yes I've talked to my PCP about it, he switched me to 150XR. I'll talk to new pdoc about it when I see him in 2 weeks Edited December 27, 2016 by ChadB74
KnickNak
Cool, Yeah ask lots of questions, i don't care how annoying i sound. I am starting seroquel 150xr soon, because i ran out of my 100xr, The Ford Raptor's are pretty sweet trucks they are pricey! I remember the Ford Lightning as well , those were fast m'fers. I am from Michigan , so i know all about Ford, Anyway hope you feel better and get on track soon.
ChadB74
When I started at Ford we were building the last of the 1st gen Lightnings, then I bought a 2nd gen in 2001. I've been on seroquel for years, only thing that gets me to sleep.
BackOnTop
Hello! Welcome I'm new too. I've been on Wellbutrin in the past and the jitteriness evened out a bit but for the most part it stayed for me. If Wellbutrin isn't working out you might ask to try an SNRI like Effexor. The biggest problems I had with Wellbutrin (ER) was insomnia and anger. You probably won't have insomnia issues because Seroquel does a great job at sedation. I started Seroquel (150mg) Wednesday and have been asleep or groggy since. I'm glad your mental health team is finally getting to the bottom of your illnesses! Hopefully you'll be feeling well soon. ChadB74
I'm trying to get off the seroquel actually, been taking 1mg klonopin with 50mg seroquel, as opposed to the 2-300 mg seroquel I had been on for a long time. I'm also hopeful regarding the testosterone therapy I started 2 weeks ago, maybe I'll get away from some of the meds entirely.
ChadB74
Zoloft seems to work better for me than SNRI's like Effexor or Cymbalta
