FairyBelle
I haven't had my period in at least a year, which could be good or bad, I really haven't decided yet.. But I've been having pain in my lower stomach since stopping Invega. I'm currently on Seroquel and Haldol, antipsychotic wise. I've been to the doctor about this pain many times, and all they keep saying is to watch what I eat, and to come back if things don't improve. I've tried both. I'm a little worried it might be my period, but I'm honestly really not sure, as, like I said, I haven't had one in a year, and before that I only had it maybe once or twice a year since starting antipsychotics at age seventeen. I don't entirely remember what it feels like before you get it anymore, really. I don't know if it's because Invega plays so heavily with prolactin levels, and now mine are going back to normal or something after stopping it, or what, but if anyone has any information on how antipsychotics have effected them in this way, I'd be grateful to hear about it
Eilatan
I'm not on the same as you but take aripiprazole. It has made my periods closer together and lighter and my boobs shrink! ! I'm currently waiting for prolactin level blood test results. But basically it definitely has changed hormones levels and affected my periods. But then do / did most other meds I've been on. Mirtazapine for example made my cycle 46 days!!! Erghh I spent most of the *month* with pms symptoms. None of them have ever made me lose my period totally however but then I'm only on 10mg of aripiprazole. Perhaps you could ask to get your hormones tested? Hope this helps x
FairyBelle
I am not sure if I have ever had my hormones tested, I've never really seen a need to. But I guess it might have to be an option. I just hope it's as simple as my hormones or reproductive system, a doctor mentioned IBS to me as well, because of how much time I also end up spending in the bathroom (TMI, I know.... Lol)
