Alien Navel Cord
So the Electoral College voted for Trump to officially become our next President. I can't believe it- they had an opportunity to re-write history and they blew-it.
jt07
I never really thought the outcome would have been anything different There are constitutional considerations, and in many states, it is illegal for an elector to go against the way the state voted in the election. Sad but true. If you are concerned about Trump as president then the time is now to start working to see that he is just a one-term president. Don't wait until the next election is upon us. dancesintherain
I'd been paying some watch to groups who were trying to get the results to change and the most optimistic number i saw was 20 electors who'd change. there were people offering to provide legal representation, pay fees, etc., but that's a lot to ask of someone. the one way i could have seen it happening and only in a blue moon was if the democratic electors had found a moderate republican they could tolerate and talked enough of the republicans into him or her (well, let's be real--him). i did see the idea batted around (I wouldn't have come up with it on my own), but not gaining serious traction.
