I don't know too terribly much about amisulpride being that it's not a drug that's available to us in the States (unfortunately), but I've read that amisulpride at doses ≤ 50 mg has preferential affinity for presynaptic dopamine D2 and D3 autoreceptor subtypes, which by blocking these autoreceptors amisulpride is preventing neurons from stopping the release of dopamine, leading to an increase in dopamine concentration in the brain, which is why such low doses are used as an antidepressant. Do you think that maybe you may need a higher dose of amisulpride so that it would target the postsynaptic dopamine receptors more and reduce the positive symptoms more? I don't know much about the dosage range of amisulpride except that it comes in 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, and 400 mg tablets?

I am taking a low dose for negative symptoms... it helps with social related negative symptoms.

I have even taken bupropion without being on an AP without any problem, I don't think I have high levels of dopamin causing my psychosis.
