SandraDee
I've passed through this site on many a sleepless night and got some good info and laughs. I was diagnosed with post partum OCD after the birth of my first and only child. Meds, a good doctor, some hard work on my part, and a supportive husband have worked wonders. But, you know, with OCD, it's never really gone, it's just waiting around the corner.
AirMarshall
Hi SandraDee, Welcome! Glad you came from the cold. If you've been lurking for a while then you probably know the routine. Feel free to post and ask questions. I don't know anything about OCD so I was surprised to see that yours appeared post partum. I have never read about it being so associated. Cheers, A.M. Cheers, A.M. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Welcome! How old is your child? Yes, pregnancy, labor and delivery can launch otherwise latent brain cooties--all that hormonal ebbing and flowing. The first baby exploded PTSD all over my world. Being a parent unleashed all my own abuse memories and stuff. It was quite a surprise. Certainly not the serene, earth mother I thought I was going to be! LOL...funny now, he's almost 18. 2nd son, post-partum depression into MDD episode. I promptly had my tubes tied after #2, but I was at that point 36. Anyway, make yourself at home. Suze
