~nestling~
um, efexor? I had/have no problem with sleepiness with it. (In fact had to start taking remeron so I could sleep...)It did decrease my appetite periodically, but I've heard that isn't general.

Dweii
Efexor makes some people very tired. Just so you know. It did that to me, but I tend to always tend to get the weird effects. Remeron made me have insomnia!

I have already tried Paxil, Prozac, Remeron, Lexepro,Zoloft Goodday <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ive heard people having success with cymbalta (duloxetine). i hear start at 40mg and if that doesnt work it can go as high as 120mg. might decrease your appetite but probably not, and usually wont make you sleepy. Velvet Elvis
People react differently to different meds. The best thing to look at is what percentage of people had a given side effect in various studies. The versions of these presented to physicians are usualy available at www.rxlist.com. Cymbalta makes some people sleepy if the take it in the AM but this is usualy not a problem if taken in the PM so long as it doesn't cause insomnia. Wellbutrin-XL usualy doesn't have as much of an appitite suppressant effect as the shorter acting formulations and is the least likely to make you sleepy. Desipramine is TCA that is generaly more stimulating than sedating as is nortyptiline. Strattera might be worth a shot.

I have already tried Paxil, Prozac, Remeron, Lexepro,Zoloft Goodday <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I vote for Effexor, which yeah is actually and SNRI but you know.... Everyone is different so this stuff made me more alert as opposed to sleepy, and I believe it is generally regarded as a stimulating SNRI right under Wellbutrin as far as that whole issue goes. It took a while to feel it, but at 150mg I started feeling okay and now I'm taking 225 which seems good even though I'm BP. I might be the only one who likes this drug, but the time I tried Zoloft just plain sucked ass so I never had the guts to try another plain ol SSRI. Bianca
Both Cymbalta and WB made me lose weight and definitely decreased my appetite. Got my appetite back but I'm still not gaining I may still even be losing.
