Crazycutup
Hey all. So I have been prescribed Adderall for fatigue related to depression. I have been on it about 1 month and a half. I supposed to take 30mg in 10mg doses through out the day. I have a sleep study at the end of the month because I want to know if there is something physiological that is causing my fatigue. The adderall doesn't seem like a long term solution. Especially because it hardly works for me anymore. It helped somewhat in the beginning but now If I take even 20mg I am awake for a couple hours and then I get sleepy. I have been logging my sleep in a journal and med times. I get about 9 1/2 to 10 hours sleep and I have a 1-2 hour nap during the day. This is with the adderral. But now the adderall seems less and less affective. For instance today I woke up at 10 am (extreme sleep inertia) forced myself to take 20 mg and was up until 1pm at which point I was too tired so I lied down for an hour. At 4:30 I took another 10mg and now (5:30pm) I am tired again and really want to sleep. Does this seem normal? Could the adderall somehow be making me more sleepy? I'm just wondering if fatigue is really an issue or maybe I am making to big a deal of it. But damn I am tired so often and rarely feel 'awake', as in not wanting to sleep or at the very least lay down. I have crazy intense dreams and move around a lot in my sleep, twitch a lot. I see a pDoc this week and want to try to switch to something more helpful. I also take Effexor FYI. Any answers to the above questions as well as your experience with adderall for fatigue would be appreciated. Not sure if it is normal to develop such a fast tolerance.
