Seizures hypomania and lack of sleep

Recommended Posts

Ok, I got C/t klonopin and went psychotic. I had two seizures and I was rushed to the ER. Then I had another one at the ER. So they gave me Ativan and put me in ICU. Then I go to inpatient and they change my risperdal to abilify and I get this rush of euphoria mixed with anxiety. It feels good but is this cycling to you guys?

Sonic! It's nice to see you.

Abilify can be activating when you first start taking it. It certainly was for me. It made me feel as if I were crawling out of my skin, actually.

I'm going to link this to the anti-psychotics board to see if it gets more responses.

Sonic, it's good to see you, and I'm so glad that you are ok. That must have been a scary experience.

Abilify at low doses caused me to have a LOT of anxiety. I almost gave up on it because of the anxiety. However, I persevered and once I got up to 10 mg, the anxiety went away and Abilify began to work. At 15 mg, it was bliss. I can't describe the feeling any better than that, just bliss. That bliss lasted for a couple of months and then I just settled into a calm type of energy that continues to this day. I can understand how people could think that the bliss would be hypomania, but since I'm not bipolar, it was just bliss to me. I love my Abiilify.
