eee123
what do you do when you have no interest in doing anything, have already slept heaps and have nothing else you have to do. It's like everything has been taken from me, I am not even really interested in watching movies anymore. When I try I feel I cannot be still in my chair. At the moment I have listening to the radio whilst walking as the only activity I kind of enjoy other than eating and sleeping. I cannot go on with basically nothing that is in any way fun. I feel like if I didn't have to do anything but stare at a wall all day, I could get by with nothing fun but I have to work and do other stuff. There is an expectation that I must do this stuff. I could go on a round world trip if I wanted to, but it wouldn't interest me anymore. I have money to do what I want but I don't want to do or buy anything with it. I know this isn't depression. It is my personality and it is being stripped away year by year. Knowing that you could win lotto and it would make almost no difference just kind of takes away any hope at all. I am really interested in if people have any ideas on what to do when you have to do *something* but nothing is interesting and you can't concentrate on it. Teh Gaben
The thing that helps me the most is music. I have a free DJ app on my laptop and can lose myself for hours doing mixes, I'd strongly recommend it if you have any interest in music!

I know you said it isn't depression, but FWIW, from what you write, it all sounds like when I am depressed. Not sure what is going on with you, but I do understand you have to live up to some expectations though like work and other stuff. At the moment, I cant think of specific ideas when I'm not sure what the *something* is. All i can say is that when I am not able to concentrate in general or when depressed, I just can't do whatever it is I have to do. There is no way around it for me. I need a break. Do you see a therapist? a psychiatrist? Not sure if you are on meds or not, but I am thinking along the lines of adding a med to help? Prozac helped me out a lot when this started happening to me. I can empathize with a lot you write, and I hope things start to get better for you.

I am waiting to see a psychiatrist. I do not know how long that will be if at all. It is up to the public health system.

It sucks to not know something like that. Could you GP help you out at all?
