ananke
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/may/15/angry-voter-berates-theresa-may-disability-benefit-cuts Sorry if you don't like the Guardian, one of the first results I saw. Still, the video speaks for itself. Good on that woman though. I don't know if it'll help beyond rhetoric, but one can live in hope... A further apology to all the non-Brits out there! Sorry if I'm spamming at the moment, snap general elections will do that.
Teh Gaben
It's nice to see May pinned down by someone to see how she really reacts to the electorate who want to ask her what seem like pretty basic questions. She genuinely didn't have a clue on how to answer that woman. The DLA to PIP switch has affected a lot of people for sure, it's something that really needs looking at. I'm sure Corbyn will talk about mental health when he releases Labour's manifesto, I just don't trust May to do anything about it. I wouldn't worry about spamming at the moment either. All that you've posted about the election has been relelvant, and this is the politics section after all! Keep on posting ananke
ananke
Thank you! Yes, it was so nice to see May being shown as the uneducated, scared politician she is. For all the 'strong and stable' bollocks, she really doesn't have a clue what's going on or what to do. As demonstrated. 'Oh we have a lot of things coming' well you and your party have been in charge for how long? And what have we seen you do in that time? Cuts, cuts, cuts. Like a deadly, socially unaware hairdressers. The Sweeney Todd of disability rights. (I'll let myself down from my high horse)
deckpoop
Here is the full footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5Ub2mfFuqQ It shows that the woman introduces the theme of mental health as well as Learning disabilities. I am no fan of this Conservative government on mental health or healthcare generall. And I am no fan of the prime minister. But I think the Guardian has been a bit misleading in their coverage of this incident, especially in the Opinion piece by Paul Birrel. ananke
All press has their own biases. TBH the Guardian was the first to pop up that wasn't the Daily Fail (which I have zero time or patience for). I haven't read that opinion piece, so I'll take your word for it. I did hear she mentioned both mental health and learning disabilities though. Also, bit of a tangent but is anyone else fed up with the amount of online articles which are literally just other peoples tweets. Like... I don't want to be rude but it just looks sort of lazy and stealing other peoples opinions without credit or payment.

Huffpost is the worst for that, just a collation of tweets that are vaguely relevant to what they want to report.
ananke
And Buzzfeed. It's so annoying. Especially when the twitter accounts used go on to say they were never asked permission. If it's just about favourite crisps or something it'd be annoying, but when its about serious personal experiences (like police brutality) its inexcusable. Why is it still happening!
