pinkfloydforeverlove
Hi y'all. I'm still relatively new to CB, and I've had a serious question in mind. I just got back from vacation and the entire time I was imagining my death. Every time the song "Freebird" by Lynard Skynard comes on I imagine I'm about to shoot myself in a blinding explosion of blazing glory. I don't think I really want to die, but I just think that if I were dead the suffering would be over. No more depression, no more anxiety. That's it. It's all over now. The thing is, I imagine the sweet embrace of death constantly. I find it comforting to do so. Do you do it too? Am I alone? Should I talk to someone about this? BrianOCD
Yes when I'm really depressed I get these thoughts and feelings. I'd say you better get more help from PDoc.
Southern Discomfort
I've thought about ending it too. But for me I've never thought of it as a comforting thought, it's more scary than anything because I don't want to be pushed to that level and I'm afraid that something will push me to that edge. amskray
I second the advice to get some help from a therapist or psychiatrist or another professional. Those kind of suicidal thoughts are serious. Please take care of yourself!
