spaceflapjack
Hi New here, and have some questions about substitutes for drugs like Seroquel and Risperadal. Cant take benzos and ideally looking for a drug that doesn't cause weight gain because I'm apparently extremely sensitive to it. Any help is highly appreciated! notloki
It would help to know what you are taking these drugs for.
spaceflapjack
Oh, sorry. I'm bi-polar and have depression. I've been in so many institutions and put on so many things to see what sticks, that I'm not even sure what's for what at this point. I'm definitely taking them for mental illness, if that helps. mcjimjam
Mood stabilisers like lamotrigine and lithium have some antidepressant qualities and are usually the cornerstone of bipolar treatment. Antidepressants like SSRIs, SNRIs etc are often added to help with depression. Not everyone with BP depression takes an AAP, although many do.
