evilnessness
My therapist said I have dissociative schizophrenia and I don't even think that is real. Is he the delusional one? Has anyone heard of this?

Swamp56
I don't believe that's listed in either the DSM-5 or the ICD-10.
WinterRosie
Doesn't exist. Dissociation is a spectrum disorder, with your standard daydreaming and highway hypnosis on the more every-day relatable side. Then it goes through depersonalization and derealization, and eventually ends up at dissociative identity disorder. While many people conflate DID with schizophrenia, the two are worlds apart and are not at all the same thing. Is it possible that your care provider is talking about DID? Or is it possible that they mean schizophrenia with dissociative symptoms (dp;dr)?
evilnessness
I think they might mean schizophrenia with dissociative symptoms because I've been diagnosed with schizophrenia before. I am almost completely sure I don't have DID though I have missing time. I guess I'll have to ask him what he means next time. I might have misunderstood.
