theforest
Last September I was put under full anaesthesia for the first time. I feel like it changed some part of me forever. I don't even know if I can describe it. I have insomnia, which is not new. But now to go to sleep I have to wear the robe I lived in while I was recovering from the surgery. It comforts me. i feel like my memeorh is now even worse than it was before I went under. Anyone else have what seems like weird side effects from being under anaesthesia? CrazyRedhead
@theforest, Personally, I have been under full anesthesia a few times in my life, and it didn't seem to affect my memory at all...........Is it short-term or long term memory you're having trouble with? Have you told your doctor/pdoc you're having problems with memory since the surgery?.......If not, I suggest doing so ASAP......Your pdoc might be able to do some testing to figure out if your memory is affected. notloki
Tell your doc, that is what you should do. I'll say it is rare but memory loss and other side effects do happen. It is rare like 1 in 10,000 to 100,000 people.
