lifequake
I'm sick of prescription drug costs in the United States! Why in the world should one of my meds cost over $500.00/month, just because the medication is not on the listed drug formulary? Nobody can afford that. My dog takes a chemotherapy drug which costs under $100.00 at a compounding pharmacy. I'm sure that a person's prescription for the same chemotherapy medication would run into the thousands. **shakes fist angrily**

Savannah
Also give Costco a call. I have had good success with them.
jt07
Don't neglect to shop the small neighborhood pharmacies. I found lamotrigine for $20 in a small pharmacy where it was over $150 at Walmart.
sugarsugar
Also, you don't need to be a Costco member to use their pharmacy, although it's cheaper if you join. I used to pay $35 for a med that was $130 elsewhere.
notloki
I got a $500 medication for $36 with a coupon from GoodRx. The other place to try is www,needymeds.com, a clearinghouse for patient assist programs. Meds can be free or you pay a small fee.
Lms-Kaz
Just wanted to pass along my thanks. The financial information provided in this thread is amazing! I was tempted to make a Gekko insurance reference for cost savings, but.. talking bumper stickers are a little too normal for some of us. (Myself included). There are a few articles hinting that GoodRX and the other discounters are going to be running into legal trouble. Politics. Big pharma wants their $$$!
