That's great, so does it cause anxiety or ocd, or are those not even problems for you?

I have used provigil for the past 3 years to help the "blah tiredness" I get from my clozaril.  It has helped quite a bit......I take 200 mg in the morning.

It doesn't cause anxiety in me....... and my ocd (if you would call it that) is more of the obsessive thought varitety.

I do take 600 mg. of Effexor XR, along with remeron 15 mg and the clozaril at night...........

Hope it works for you too!

My son with sz takes Provigil 200-400mg plus Strattera for ADD and to help with alertness from Seroquel.  Works great for him especially the combo, except that he misses the speedy buzz from the Adderral he gave up.  Since he has the paranoid flavor,  this was always very risky. Now  that he's off it,  it's clear the Aderral  WAS making him paranoid all by its sweet self (even without  his dx) in that lovable way speed can do - especially at high doses.

But the Provigil doesn't. His depression is better too I think from the two together (and recent studies show Provigil can help depression as of course, can Strattera)

My second son also takes Provigil to help with side ffects from Lexapro and Celexa.

I take it too PRN but it lasts about 18hrs for me.  Since my sleep cycle is  problematic, I scarcely ever dare swallow it.  I don't even dare take  Concerta most days as that too seems to last longer than average for me.  But 20mg Adderral works fine, except it wear off a bit early and I have to watch the munchies. Just a little worried as a Boomer, about stroke and whatnot especially as I take estrogen too (it predisposes).  I know a woman my age who DID have a stroke from Concerta +  Adderral and her BP hadn't even gone up.  ;)

i take 200 mg provigil along with zoloft (was at 300 mg, just dropped to 100 mg because of an oncoming mania).

for me, it helped some with depression and the fogginess that i get from that and the other meds.

i didn't have any anxiety problems from it. it also has the benefit of being short-acting. so if you have a bad reaction to it, it's not like you're waiting long for it to get out of your system.
