Alien Navel Cord
This doesn't seem to be a very popular benzo. Anyone know why? I havent looked it up yet, I wanted to see what others here thought of it first. Has anyone been on it before?
jt07
Temazepam is mostly a sedative and used for sleep. It's not generally used for anxiety.
Iceberg
Never heard of it for anything but sleep either. I was on it didn't help me much

jt07
Yes, it's a sedating benzo.
notloki
You may know it by it's brand name, Restoril. People are actually paid to come up with these brand names.
browri
temazepam is actually one of the major active metabolites of diazepam (Valium). It is definitely a benzo, but it generally gets filed under hypnotics because in most cases it's too sedating to use for anxiety. Better used for sleep. Temazepam is the reason that diazepam is so sedating.
crtclms
browri, This is completely off topic, but do you know Donna Mugavero? I may be wrong, but I'm under the impression Bethlehem is pretty small?

EDIT: However Googled her and her job is right around the corner from my therapist. I drive past Sheer Brick Studio every couple of weeks. crtclms
If you didn't guess by "studio," she's a photographer. She's an online friend, but it's been 16 years since we "met" on a Boxer dog list. If you run into her, she's a really smart funny person. Now back to our regular programming (that is, unless you had something more to say, this isn't an order.). BrianOCD
I took Restoril when I was in-patient. Was nice to go to sleep with...
Riggs1
I took restoril years ago. I generally don’t feel rested using any benzos for sleep. I prefer seroquel.
rowan77
I take temazepam 10 - 20mg PRN for sleep. I very rarely have to use it but when I do I find it very effective
dtac
Temazepam is back in rotation for my insomnia. I alternate it with Lunesta and I find that I don't build a tolerance to it like I used to. It's not heavily sedating, but enough that I can fall asleep at the end of a long day at a reasonable hour.
Alien Navel Cord
Ok Ok so it is not appearing to be prescribed for anxiety or panic. K. Because the valium.. well... meh. My anxiety is so strong and overwhelming it just is not doing the trick and I had wanted to assk about something else...
