papertrees
Hi! I was put on clozapine last week. I am still titrating up, but I am currently on 50mg. I also take Abilify (20 mg), Lithium (900 mg), and Lamictal (200mg). My question is.. I seem to have lost my appetite. Anyone else experience this? Is anyone on the same combo as me? If so, can you share your experiences? TIA!
Iceberg
Lithium can mess with your GI. So can abilify...but when I looked I didn't see specifically "Loss of appetite" cloz. Usually increases appetite if anything Could it be a symptom?
crtclms
I don't know about the specific AAP you are taking, but the AAPs I took bugged my stomach for the first couple of weeks.
CeremonyNewOrder
Clozapine is usually more associated with increased appetite and diabetes as a result. I don't know how long you've been on lithium but lithium made me very nauseous when I first started it.
papertrees
I have been on abilify, lamictal, and lithium for 3 years. I doubt that they are the culprits. I've never heard of appetite suppression on clozapine, whichs is why I'm curious. It's a welcome side effect though.. I gained 20 lbs. since starting meds. cheesecake
Clozapine made me eat like a horse. I put on 50 pounds on it. It worked wonders for the voices but sadly it messed with my white bood count so i had to come off it.
