Blahblah
How long have you been on it and what dose? Most meds have start-up side effects that go away within the first 2 weeks or so... I've been taking Effexor for 3.5 months. I was started very very low 37mg so I experienced little side effects. The main one being spaciness - sort of dissociated feeling, I would sort of stare off into space. I felt quite numb/apathetic (but better than feeling super triggered or emotional). I had restless sleep for maybe 5 days. The main side effect I have now at 150mg is severe dry mouth/dry throat and constipation. I think this med is extremely good for anxiety...it completely squashed it. i will probably need to increase for more of a boost with my depression. BrianOCD
Effexor has a LOT of side effects, some get lucky and dont get them, but I got most of em... If this is your first time on it, you'll be happy to know you're gonna feel pretty good when it does start working... I recall the sleepiness, sweating, and Sexual side effects as being the worst. Some memory issues too. You taking Effexor or the generic? Edited February 12, 2018 by BrianOCD
Blahblah
Oh yeah that too..sexual side effects (pretty much all meds have this for me), an almost drowsy feeling and sweating at first. The sweating has sort of gone away now though.
