looking for answers
How do you know if you have it, and how do your treat it
Iceberg
It hurts to sit still not necessarily physically but sometimes mentally. You need constant pressure on your feet and most people sway back and forth when standing or can't stop pacing (the simple version). Treatments include inderal, anticholenergics like cogentin, benzos or adjusting your dose.

dancesintherain
feeling like you're jumping or crawling out of your skin is the best description I could come up with. it's restlessness on steroids and miserable.
looking for answers
Yes that’s how I feel, but that’s diff than the other description can it go away? cant it be treated if so how I’m on klonopin already
dancesintherain
sometimes changing the dose helps. there are also drugs like iceberg mentioned--propanalol, cogentin, and benzos are the main options IIRC. cogentin made my eyes blurry, so it wasn't a choice for me, but a lot of people here speak highly of it. it depends on whether the drug is worth it enough to warrant adding another medication in, rather than substituting the AAP. Gearhead
I’ve had it. It feels like insane restlessness, like holding still will make your brain finally snap. Crawling out of my skin really is the best description.
looking for answers
Little milder than that but yes
jt07
Usually, if you get akathisia, there's no question about it. It's that bad.
