Our local news tonight did a very brief report about SAM-e. Specifically that a patch has just been approved for safe use. I thought it was technically a "supplement/alternative" used for depression and therefore not under scrutiny by the FDA. Anyone got any info? I'm gonna go google around and see what I can find...

You mean "EmSam", a transdermal form of selegiline, an MAOI and Parkinson's drug.  It's kind of neat because at the lower dosages you don't have to observe any particular dietary restrictions. Though I imagine most would "graduate" to a higher dosage, and then you've got the dietary and drug interactions onus that comes with all MAOIs.  For drug-sensitive types who do well on low dosages it could be a blessing.
