I follow some mental illness blogs on Tumblr, and today somebody was talking about Latuda. Somebody else mentioned terrible anxiety after taking Latuda and it dawned on me that I might be experiencing that too. It's the only drug I take at night (at dinner) and I have terrible night anxiety most nights. Just at night though, when I wake up I'm fine in the morning. I've been dealing with this night anxiety for at least a year with Ativan, and I've been on Latuda for a year and a half. I plan on talking with my psych nurse practitioner when I see her in a week and a half, but in the meantime has anyone experienced anything like this with Latuda?

I took my second dose last night and I got up and walked around my apartment because I was so agitated. I'm only at 20 mg and titrating up.

Could that be akathisia?

One day, I noticed that I too got anxious after taking Latuda. It even got to the point where I was trembling and becoming extremely restless at night. It turned out that Latuda was causing me akasthesia. My doctor put me on Cogentin 1mg once a day to go with the medication. The anxiety, trembles and restlessness all went away since then.

Yep this DEFINITELY happened to me. I felt borderline panicky. But like you said, during the day...no issue. Just right after you take it in the evening. However, this did go away sort of once I got into the higher doses that sedated you. 10mg-20mg is more stimulating and 40mg-60mg+ is more sedating.
