gb84
So, I have the MTHFR mutation and my Dr. gave me a couple months worth of Deplin samples. So far it's working very well, but it costs about $350 a month to buy since insurance doesn't cover it. What brand(s) of L-Methylfolate do you take and recommend? I found this on Amazon, I try to stick to organic supplements if possible, what do you think?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004D3Z2QC/?coliid=IONCGVA5RJEY4&colid=NLVF0AJOECZD&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it *purchased the above supplement, will report how it works after I run out of Deplin. Not sure if you saw this but if your insurance won't cover Deplin, the manufacturer works with a mail order pharmacy that won't charge more than $58/30-day or $174/90-day. http://www.deplin.com/brand-direct-health

browri
@crow66 I do believe that @mikl_pls recommended the same brand if you were to get it OTC instead of the Deplin brand.
mikl_pls
Yes, I have taken that brand. I got it from their website. It looks like their prices has gone up though. http://www.methylpro.com/L-Methylfolate/L-Methylfolate-15-mg-2/

gb84
I haven't really felt a difference from the supplement I purchased above. I'm not really sure what the L-Methylfolate is supposed to do. I guess I have a little more energy than before. But my recent blood work showed I am still slightly anemic. *I remember my pdoc telling me that it is responsible for proper neurotransmitter function. But again I don't feel much of a difference.
