BipolarSpinster
I know in higher doses it causes more weight gain, I’m just wondering if a tiny dose like a half of a 25 would still be likely to do the same.
mikl_pls
My pdoc told me that yes, a tiny dose like 25 mg can, indeed, cause weight gain, but it's more likely to occur over a period of time of one to two years or so, and it's likely to be about 5 lb or so. Of course, it depends on the individual, though. I never took Seroquel long enough to really get an idea of what my experience would be like with it though. I just knew that in order to be sedated by it, I needed 300 mg... No tiny dose would sedate me. Also, it made me eat the house and gain weight like crazy at that dose, so I stayed away from it. But it didn't hold a candle to the weight gain that Zyprexa caused me...
tryp
Yeah some psychiatrists will say that the weight gain is dose dependent and maybe it is worse at high doses, but low ones will do it too unfortunately.

That really sucks, but I guess if it’s only a few lbs I can deal with a more guaranteed sleep than what Trazadone tempts me with. And if Topamax works out maybe that’ll counter it completely. Thanks ?
