confused
Even with my apnea controlled, I still have a lot of fatigue. I went back to the sleep disorder clinic. I told the np that without caffeine I can"t function. I don't wake up. She said since i respond to a stimulant, I could try Nuvigil. She called it in to the pharmacy, but I think I have to get authorization. It gives me hope. She also wants me to try eliminating gluten and lactose for a couple of weeks to see if it helps with energy. I have already talked with my pdoc and a stimulant is okay for me to take. nm my insurance won't cover and it is over $400 / month Edited June 14, 2018 by confused Update

jt07
@confused Confused, how is the Provigil helping now?
confused
It is not doing much. I can fall back to sleep after I take it. I tried 200mg today to see if 100 is too low of a dose or if it does not work for me. I think it helps but very little. I still have hopes if she tweaks it maybe it will work. I am out of bed, so that is good

Provigil didn’t help me either but nuvigil really has. I took I think either 300 or 400 mg of provigil too split into two doses. Nuvigil lasts longer and I only have to take it once a day and I am not even taking the highest dose yet IME. Ymmv. Good luck, confused! It really sucks to be so tired all the time.
