How quickly do u feel the energy boost side effect?

Dose dependent. 150mg actually made me tired.

took maybe 1 or 2 weeks for 300mg to start giving me the boost.

about 3 weeks till insomnia. Lol/sigh

I'll just give you my experience with Wellbutrin and leave it at that. Wellbutrin did nothing for me at 150 mg except give me horrible tinnitus and made me tired. It didn't do anything until 300 mg and then it didn't work all that great for me. It made me VERY anxious and irritable. This was true for IR, SR, and XL (I was on Wellbutrin multiple times.)

I wouldn't expect much until you get to 300 mg if I were you.

I don't want to discourage you. Wellbutrin helps a lot of people. Some people swear by it including several of our members. But it is kind of a love it or hate it med. It either works and you are happy with it, or else you get many side effects with little benefit and you hate it.

Well we shall see I don’t go up to 300 till the 16th

I would hesitate to call two meds a cocktail but count me in as someone who swears by Wellbutrin. Definitely a core , not an adjunct for my cocktail. Perhaps I didn’t have a full response to it, and yeah the insomnia, though not severe is annoying, but I would not want to swap it for another ad

other side effects like constipation and sweating went away after a few months

Great!

Just keep in mind that Wellbutrin does take a while to really kick into effect from a mood perspective. Like way worse than the start up for ssris

Keep that in mind if you do expect this to help mood too. Mood wise it really didn’t do too much until about week 6 or so for me

energy would come quite a bit sooner.

When u say it didn’t so much is this for mood, energy  all of the above?

It never did do anything for my energy level. It just made me anxious, that's all. And for mood, it didn't do much. Perhaps an incremental difference though that might have been the placebo effect. I don't know.
