WakeOne
Has anyone had experience coming off clozapine? My clozapine levels are getting a bit high and i might need to change meds. Thanks. I'm currently on 350mg at night dropped from 400mg last month. Edited December 21, 2018 by WakeOne

netsavy006
I'm not understanding which levels are you talking about? (clozapine?, cbc?, wbc?) I've never had to come off of clozapine, as all my wbc/cbc levels have been stable. What dosage of clozapine do you take?

netsavy006
You may not have to completely come off clozapine. IMO, lowering the dose should lower the levels.

Depending on the levels next week their either going to reduce some more but if it's still too high I'll be changing med.
Iceberg
Hmm...is it not working? Cuz if it's working it seems counterproductive to do a total change. Many people take less than 350...it's a level so it doesn't matter what the dose actually is as long as u have a safe effective level. I can take 200mg and have an ideal level

My levels used to be good but recently its been getting high, so they'll either lower or change.
netsavy006
Do you know how much higher you are from normal levels?

I'm not sure but it was close enough to the 1000 mark to make them want to reduce it. I think it was around
Iceberg
Yeah that's high but it seems fixable with slow reduction
