Accidentally took a double dose of Celexa--Advice

Hi Everyone,

Yep, I did it. I am indeed an idiot. I forgot I took my 11am 40mg Celexa yesterday morning and took another 40mg at 2pm. Then I forgot I did THAT and took my regular 11am dose this morning, so I'm hurting. Weird nausea thing happening in my head right now, but I don't think it's bad enough to go to the hospital. Anything I can do other than wait it out? I've got so much work to do. 

I deeply appreciate any help.

I would suggest call doc and/or pharmacist, and see what they recommend.

That was my regular dose for years so you're probably OK.

THink you will be just fine, its not a crazy dose. i would call local pharmacy to be safe but id be 98% sure they say the same...........did you call already?

Yes, I did call, thank you. He was very nice and said I'd be okay, but that unfortunately I'd just have to wait out the feeling sick part. He did suggest maybe a glass of orange juice or something, and that helped. I also didn't have much juice, but I did have a Coke (original, not a fan of diet) and that also helped.

You could maybe take some meclizine (Bonine) for the nausea, although I'm sure by now it has already passed. Meclizine is used for nausea associated with motion sickness, but it's less sedating than dimenhydrinate (Dramamine).
