I remember reading that they tried showing Panda porn to get them in the mood. Which reminds me. Must delete search history. Purely for research purposes but it not easy to explain that to someone. I still think it's a good name. Maybe I should promote myself to General. I'll sleep on it.

I live in the north of England, and in shops I often get "There you are my lovely." Which is sweet. But I have a southern accent and it just sounds creepy if I say something like that. "Thanks sugartits." He didn't seem to appreciate that. It's the accent.

@DogMan, it was getting too confusing for the mods. We at least have to keep track of who’s who to prevent abuses of the board. Not everyone is good enough to announce their new name.

Opinion noted.

Mods and Admins have our reasons, which would be time-consuming to explain and, as the site management is not conducted by opinion poll, such explanation would be irrelevant in any case. Suffice it to say that we do not change our Mod and Admin usernames for ‘shits and giggles’. I have had the same username here since I first made an account 15 years ago.

We apologize for any inconvenience that not being able to arbitrarily change your name once a year may cause 🤔(?) but it really is better, we find, when the threads don’t suddenly end up full of references to users who appear never to have existed. If anyone has a serious, legitimate need for a name change, such as being doxxed or entering a Witness Protection Program, we can arrange it.
