Latenight is so empty and dull

Recommended Posts

Nighttime ALWAYS starts to depress me and my anxiety level goes up.  I know exactly what you mean. It's like there's no one else out there up, just you, everyone else is safely asleep in their own beds getting the rest they need and you're the idiot who is up again wondering when the hell they're gonna get some sleep.  Its just too damn quiet!

;) it would be so wonderful to be in a place with beds of flowers and sunshines, where I wouldnt have to face the world, and actually live

No stress no worries, no night emptiness, no constant rejections. I wanna be so gone and I'm thinking of ways...

Do you live near any national or state parks, Secret?  I drove to Mt. Hood today, and went on a nature hike.  It was so cool, just hiking all by myself with nobody around.

If you live where it's safe, it's really a trip to walk around at night, when hardly anyone is out. Especially, say, in a downtown retail area where you usually see huge numbers of people. Or, alternatively, someplace where you can see stars, see ocean, hear wind in trees or something. And I find, unlike other forms of exercise, walking for half an hour or more at a reasonable pace makes me more relaxed and likely to sleep. Especially if the reason I can't sleep is some kind of cramped up pain, tight back, etc. I ended up doing this a lot when my back was injured. Sleep two hours, wake up hurting, walk 40 minutes and repeat.

Another good night time activity, if you are brazen and brave, is dumpster diving. It's amazing what people will toss out. Just maintain situational awareness as I bet some cops don't take a shine to such entrepreneurial recycling. But I've got a beatiful sheet of 3/4" plywood and a computer with a bunch of neat motors inside retrieved from the same dumpster a couple of days ago.

Of course, if either one of these gives you the heebie-jeebies, maybe they're not such great ideas.

Hobbies are good because you have a great time until you look up and it's 4AM. The next day isn't so good if you can't sleep in for one reason or another. Some of these hobbies are pretty damn cheap, too. (try Googling paper models, Geli DC-3 in particular if you like airplanes) Just try to avoid the American way of feeling you're not serious if you don't unload gobs of dough. Or, I'll bet, knowing you have to get up and knead some of that other kind of dough in the middle of the night will make you sleepier than all hell if you're like me. Plus, eventually you may find yourself consulting with other hobbyists on a regular basis, going to meetings, etc. I've been really in the pits lately because of my financial and (un)employment situations, but on Saturday I made it to a contest (albeit about 4 1/2 hours late out of a 6 hour contest) but it felt pretty nice to be greeted with pleasure and respect by my fellow hobbyists. Only competed in one event and only fell into middle of pack, but was woth it anyway.

Of course, once in a while I have a pretty sucky night too, even though I've done hobbies for decades. They don't fix everything.

Every one is always getting killed aroud here  ;) , not safe for a small woman like me to venture out alone without her car. It not safe for her to be inside her head alone either. When Daddy and mommy go or if one go, I am gone soon after, to permeneant peace for once god dammit.

I mean one of those springer things. Sorry I'm new here :/

I have a couple Ambiens and one sheet of Serequel. For some reason I'm saving them like they're rations. You never know, something important might just come up that requires me to sleep at night. Yeah right. Not till life truly clubs me in the head with a sledge.
