mikl_pls
I have a prescription for Stelazine 2 mg tid, Navane 2 mg tid, and, while I know it's not an antipsychotic, Dalmane 15 mg qhs prn, and it has been virtually impossible to find around my area. My currernt pharmacy can't get it at all from their wholesaler, I tried Publix and they couldn't find any from their vendor nor could they find any Publix in the neighboring cities that carried it. The nice lady on the phone when I talked to Publix suggested I try pharmacies with a different wholesaler than theirs, like Walgreens, CVS (never giving my money to them again...), or Walmart. Has anyone else had trouble finding these meds?

Has anyone else had trouble finding these meds? i took dalmane briefly a few years ago, they only had a few pills in stock, but got the rest the next day. have you tried typing them into goodrx, and seeing who even lists having that in your area, if they have a price for it, they should be able to get it

Thanks! I called Pill Pack pharmacy and had my prescriptions transferred over there, but for some reason I got a notification from Walgreens in a neighboring city, saying that my Navane was ready to pick up and my Stelazine was out of stock. I went over there and picked up the Navane, but they said the Stelazine hadn't come in on the latest shipment (today, actually). Then when I got home, I got a notification saying my Stelazine was ready... lol. No Dalmane though. I wonder if Pillpack has it? I'll check. Thanks y'all! Wonderful.Cheese
Hey @mikl_pls! I know you have been having a hard time finding these specific meds. Well it just dawned on me this morning for some reason to search for them in this mail order pharmacy. It’s called CVS Caremark. I use it or I guess used to use it for all my meds. I don’t know if you’ve found a good long lasting solution for getting these meds filled or not yet. But this CVS Caremark will send them directly to your house a 90 day supply. Very handy. Anywho, here are the screenshots of the two you were looking for I believe. I had to lookup the generic names. I hope that they are the correct names and that this does in fact mean that this CVS Caremark has them ready and in stock! It’s something to check into anyway I’d say! They usually have any pill I’ve ever been on or searched for. It’s a huge and well known operation/pharmacy company, bigger than a CVS local branch because this is like a giant warehouse. The costs reflect my insurance coverage of course. Just showing you the example.

I actually had a bad run in with our local CVS, they were slandering my pdoc by saying "she's not a real doctor," "she prescribes too far out of her scope of practice" (referring to pain meds, but she has a fucking certificate to practice pain med management, she just doesn't wish to do that as her main practice), and "something shady went down with her and [they] don't feel comfortable filling her prescriptions in fear of losing [their] license." It pissed me off something fierce to get that phone call from them, refusing to fill my prescription. Turns out they were doing that to everyone who had a prescription from my pdoc, telling them the same things. This word got back to her and she was confused. CVS in my town was also calling her in the middle of the day while she's taking patients to ask her about some pain med one of her patients was supposedly taking, trying to get her to phone it in (illegally), as if to try and set her up to do something they could "catch" her on. I haven't given a cent to CVS since that happened, but if worst comes to worst, I'll try it, especially since it's not actually the local CVS bastards. For now, I got these meds filled (somehow) to Walgreens. It's strange, I called PillPack pharmacy and asked them to transfer my prescriptions from my current pharmacy, and instead they got called into Walgreens in a neighboring city (we don't have a Walgreens here, it's a very small town...). If they continue to supply me with these meds, I suppose I'll stick with Walgreens, or maybe use Prime Therapeutics with my insurance to fill it through Walgreens and have 90 days worth delivered to me. We'll see. But I have managed to get the meds I need. Sorry I didn't post that. I definitely appreciate you commenting with this though, as this gives me another option in case Walgreens doesn't come through regularly!

Just awful! Holy crap I’m pissed on behalf of you and your pdoc! And they tried setting up a trap for her? Ridiculous! Yes I hate CVS too. I avoid it at all costs. They are awful to the bone! And even the CVS Caremark made me so angry and upset one time. Well my sleep dr didn’t write the prescription exactly correct for generic only nuvigil. Well any other local pharmacy would have caught this as I had been taking the generic for years and years. Anyway, they sent me the brand name and dispensed it immediately no question and it was $200 and it wasn’t even brand name it was like Teva so I was so confused and angry. They said nothing could be done because it was dispensed and had been processed (whatever the heck that means). There is more to the story but I think you get the gist. But any other local pharmacy you would have been able to have it corrected or have them notice “hey, this doesn’t look right.....” So tread with caution my friend. I should not scare you away from them. I have had only one bad experience since 2009 maybe? So I wouldn’t worry too much. And stelazine isn’t made in brand name I don’t believe anymore. Not sure about Navane. So you should be definitely safe there. I hope I didn’t worry you.

No you didn't worry me, it's just something I'd expect from a company like CVS, or really any other big chain pharmacy, especially for mail order. They don't establish a raport with you or get to know you with a mail order pharmacy like they do in local pharmacies. I'm on first name basis with all the people at my pharmacy, and I used to be at CVS until some new bitch-ass pharmacist came along. Also one of the pharmacy techs was an insufferable know it all, and I constantly had to correct her on what she was saying. She said Dexedrine was methamphetamine, and I was like, "no sweety, you and I both have Epocrates, look it up, it's not methamphetamine, that's Desoxyn."
