I can't remember if I took my bupropion this morning!!

Recommended Posts

I slept in and took my meds a couple hours late, I was also distracted at the time I took them. I remember taking lamotrigine. But I have no idea if I took bupropion. What should I do? Is it best to just leave it and continue as normal tomorrow, rather than take a dose now with the possibility that I did in fact take it (three hours ago)?

Just leave it and take it tomorrow. It won’t do you any harm. You may feel weird, though. Spacey.

One way to avoid this kind of uncertainty is to keep your meds in one of those boxes that has compartments for each day of he week. That way, if you can't recall whether you've taken your med for the day, you can just open that day's compartment and check.

this

but then i'm too disorganised to organise a pill organiser, and often have a few days between refills of just taking directly from blister pack

Fuck. Just read this and realized I forgot mine this morning. And it has to be taken with food. And I’m watching calories hardcore. And I already had a big breakfast 2 hours ago. Fuck.

That is what I do. And I’ve taken my Wellbutrin 3-4 hours late without ill effects.

Yes. I actually bought one of those a few weeks ago. But lately I've been too lazy to fill it. 😑😑😑 Lesson learned.

During my spacier med regimens this was an issue but a pill box helped. As mentioned above you just need to check if they’re empty or not.

on the weekends i tend to take my am meds about 2 to 3 hours without issues.

bupropion doesn’t feel bad if i miss a day. Gabapentin doesnt so long as i have at least one of the three doses. Even when i do get lazy to pack the main/big pillbox, i have a smaller one for the lamotrigine as i do feel it even if im off by 2 hours. While it is said that missing 3 or more days in a row will necessitate as titration from 25 mg again...im paranoid to miss even one and it was a rough titration. Id do it again in a heartbeat but yeah.

make it a thing like a ritual. Every sunday night, i pull out what seems to be a drawerful of pills and supplements and fill them all up.

I absolutely swear by the weekly pill box. I fill it for the week on autopilot now, but when I was just trying to get into the habit I found setting an alarm on my phone to remind me to fill it on Saturday night (or Sunday, however your box works) was really helpful. Makes it hard to forget and just designates a few minutes directly to getting it done.

I did this a few times before getting a weekly pill box. I hate using it... and it has saved me so many times.

It doesn't stop me from the initial forgetting - especially if I'm out of my routine. But it is a verification. I've taken pills from the wrong slot - my container has 2 spots for each day, one AM and one PM. If I put the container down wrong, with the wrong side against the wall on my counter, then (especially in the morning), I am likely to take pills at the wrong time. I've done that twice. If I do it a third time, I will probably get separate boxes so that the night meds are stored in a different location. I already have a separate box for middle of the day dosing.

I see my pdoc weekly (which is pretty unusual). I fill my box(es) on Thursday nights because then I know when I see her on Friday if I need a refill on anything.
