clinic
Well I lost 10kg in 2 months on clozapine from 100kg to 90kg and then weight loss stopped. Some people told me its called weight loss plateau. How can I further make progress ? I follow a low carb diet and I’m still not losing weight. Right now I’m in fact gaining weight

bpjett
That's a tough ask. Most ready made food is going to be high in fat and carbs. Have you tried augmenting your diet with some light exercise?
CeremonyNewOrder
I wish I knew the answer because I'm having the same problem. All I can counsel from it getting worst is take a mild/medium dose of clozapine and augment it with an antipsychotic that is better on weight. looking for answers
Sometimes a change does help, try eating a little more, or little less to confuse your metabolism......... switch you macros......eat more carbs, eat less fats....... cycle calories day to day, eat a little less one day, a little more the next day, that we your metabolism cant adjust.......... It happens. Sometime you have to tweak. I watch every calorie, i can pretty much stay steady now. but it took years to get here good luck
mikl_pls
Have you tried intermittent fasting with your low carb diet? By low carb diet, do you mean that you're on the ketogenic diet? I've been on the keto diet numbers of times, and it has been the only way for me to lose substantial amounts of weight. The first time I tried it, I lost about 20 kg and got very close to my ideal weight (down to about 80 kg). I'm now 112 kg and need to lose a whole bunch of weight. I've been trying to adhere to the keto diet but it's hard for me to get started now and maintain it. I also intend to try intermittent fasting with the keto diet, as my brother had huge success with doing just that. Also, amantadine can help stabilize weight gain and prevent further weight gain, and may even contribute to some low to moderate weight loss. Also, zonisamide may help with weight too.
