kittyloaf
I searched this topic but didn't find any recent threads, sorry if I missed it. My therapist wants me to track both my mood and sleep so I'm looking for an Android/Google Play store app to help me with this. Ideally free but I'm willing to pay a little for a good app. I did look on the Google Play store and found Daylio, which I am trying now but that's mainly for mood. I need to track sleep too. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thank you.
argh
emoods. https://emoodtracker.com/ it can track sleep if you add it in manually It tracks the following by default slee depression elevated irritability anxiety psychotic talk therapy menstrual cycle weight free is fine but you can add custom tracking (like if you took a nap or had brain fog) with the paid version..which should still be 10 bucks. i have a cheap ass fitbit clone, a xiaomi mi band 3. I use it to track sleep. about 25-30 bucks, as the new one the 4 just came out. you can get it directly from china but i think they have an official store on amazon https://xiaomionline.aliexpress.com/store/group/Wristband/2178148_508160369.html?spm=a2g1y.12024536.pcShopHead_6164266.1_5_1 i'm not going to get in an argument with the fact that it's chinese (the company not just chinese made) and what not, if anyone on these boards is antichina and looking for a fight. It tracks heartrate and sleep, lasts about 3 weeks between charges on my setting. Also does cardio based workouts...walking, running, cycling, etc. or buy a fitbit. Admittedly i've been lazy about tracking recently as i'm feeling..mostly better? but i did find it handy to track my cycles and to determine if a med or med bump is working for me. echolocation
i'm also in the market for a mood tracker. i think i've heard of emoods -- i'll check it out. thank you for the suggestion, argh!
kittyloaf
@argh thank you for the recommendation! I will check out emoods. I can't wear a fitbit type device at work due to privacy concerns so that's not an option (don't see the point of getting one when I can't wear it a third of the day). Melancholya
I've been using Daylio to track my moods and it's great because it gives you stats and a monthly graph and stuff. It doesn't track sleep though. Edit: OMG what a dunce. Had a brain fart. I see you are trying Daylio, lol. @argh what's your miband like? Is it good? I've been thinking about getting the 4. I have a xiaomi phone and I'm a bit of a xiaomi fangirl. Edited August 30, 2019 by Melancholya

I have a xiaomi phone and I'm a bit of a xiaomi fangirl. I'm generally not a watch person, but i find the miband quite good. good enough to wear for days and days. i get bored every so often and it goes into the drawer but it seems i'm taking it back out..not like the tons of other crap/interests that i had, bought shit for, then rots in a corner of my room, lol comfortable, intrusive. would be pretty great if i did run/walk/swim, etc. for whatever reason, since the battery lasts for weeks it feels more like a regular watch than say and apple or samsung that needs a daily charge. The band doesn't give me contact dermatitis which is nice. if this thing dies, i'd totally get a miband 4 though this one has caught my eye https://www.gearbest.com/blog/new-gear/amazfit-bip-2-vs-amazfit-bip-vs-amazfit-bip-lite-full-specs-and-features-compare-7386 i guess it is, but since they have their own band, i'm still wondering if it's a partnership or just a distribution entity. It really sounds like it's their own product and xiaomi uses them as a distributor..so i'm not quite sold on the potential quality. https://support.amazfit.com/hc/en-us/articles/225894168-Who-is-Amazfit- I still can't find/get a straight answer if that's funded/backed by xaiomi or if it's an actual xiaomi device. i'd probably pick one of the BIPs...waiting for blackfriday here in the states for a deal. Over here our Mi Store has it and calls it a Mi Amazfit Bip. https://www.mi-store.co.nz/product/UYG4021RT/Mi-Amazfit-Bip-Smart-Watch-Onyx-Black
Ion
I use a tracking app called Nomie. It's extremely customizable and has a library of many, many premade trackers but also allows you to make your own. Having that much freedom makes a bit of a startup curve, and a slightly clunkier user experience, but if you are finding that other trackers don't have the options you want I'd say it's worth a look ETA: I just found out that the developer removed it from the app store, so I'm recommending something people won't be able to find. I read that there is now a web version Edited August 30, 2019 by Ion
