the maze runner
Last minute advice needed. I am to see my pdoc tomorrow. Everything in my life is screwed up cognitively and everything is fine psychosis wise. No psychosis no troubling thoughts. But cognition is zero. Can't remember anything. can't think out of a fog. Can't do nothing. Wonder what I should complain about and how I should even articulate my complaint. I am on clozapine 100mg and my pdoc insists that it does not cause cognitive impairment. Wonder what is going on.

argh
Difficulties in cognition would be my approach. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC487008/ iirc you are on paxil which is highly anticholinergic like clozapine. If handling psychosis is the core of your issue and clozapine is the backbone of your cocktail, can you swap SSRIs? There are many without anticholinergic effects. paxil, see the section on anticholinergic effects https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5044489/ Edited August 30, 2019 by argh

the maze runner
well here's what happened. i really told him i m in a deep crisis and that I need help. first off he suggested stopping prozac and adding vortioxetine. i said that it may not be good enough to rescue me from the slump i am in. i said i need a 'magic pill'. then i suggested methylphenidate(which is a controlled substance in my country, what they call a Schedule X Drug). He said he can do that. I said great. He said then you no longer get to take vortioxetine and I said fine. His only question to me was whether I feel angry at all or not. I said I am totally happy and satisfied in my life. I have no troubles all thanks to the clozapine but I also have no cognitive ability. He said that cognitively clozapine is better than olanzapine. I said I used to be able to work fine on olanzapine I was simply a mess inside. I don't want tto go back to that state. I said I have to save my job as my cognition is simply decimated at the present moment. I finally got a prescriptio of methylphenidate.
