I wasn't quite sure where to put this topic, as it has nothing to do with weight gain or loss.  Feel free to move.

Anyway, does anyone want to give me some tips on how to train for my race?  It's a 12K and I'm on my 4th week of training.  At present, I'm running 3 times a week according to the times suggested on the race's website.  I also do strength training 2 times a week and yoga once a week.

I guess what I am looking for is how do I avoid injury, what can I do to get the best showing possible, what should my pace be, that sort of thing.
