I want to give it another try because I only tried it for a week at a small dose. I tried it at 300mg three times a day(900mg) while I've seen people take it up 2400mg for anxiety. Geek Posted October 13, 2019 Share Posted October 13, 2019 I've been taking gabapentin for anxiety for a little while. I titrated up to 600mg 2x/day (breakfast & lunch), and 1200mg when I get home from work in the evenings. The effect, for me, is subtle. But I do have less overwhelming anxiety on a daily basis and I have an easier time settling down for sleep at night. Less dread about the upcoming day. It was very hard to tell, but I felt like the first time it migh'tve had a very subtle effect; the second time I didn't feel anything at all though.
