@DogMan i feel special when i find whiskers from my cat.

i don't know if anyone will find this as cute as i do, but i'm obsessed with this picture of a catfish sucking on a pacifier that dropped into its tank.

Fluent - I’m not sure this image is accomplishing the emotional support goal you intended. My immediate reaction upon seeing it was a sense of vague terror that I couldn’t quite put a finger on. I consulted my daughter, an enthusiastic dog-fancier, and asked her for her instant take on the image. She replied, “Adorable... and... apprehension. There’s something wrong with their faces.”

Aha! A clue. As I examined the image more closely, I realized that these little dogs are the sort one might see accompanying a clown - a blank-faced clown with darkened eyes - a killer klown, perhaps, and here they are in numbers, but where, then, are the killer klowns? Standing right... behind... us?

Even taken by themselves, their happy-go-hungry faces conjure less a sense of “harmless puffballs” and more a sense of “devourers from the hollow realm”.

It’s possible that this is merely an illusion created by the fact that there are six of them together, which appears to violate the First Law of Æsthetic Equilibrium, which states, in part, that there is only so much cuteness that can occupy the same spacetime without causing an emboitment into the next higher dimension. (In theory, this is also where all the killer klowns could have ended up.)

So you see, a half-dozen pomeranians could be the emotional equivalent of a powderkeg.

Or I could be overthinking it. That happens.

Now you mention it they do look like they're up to something. Is it the deep state? The lizard people? They look so cute but they may be subtly encouraging you to become a communist. Pomeranians of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains. We must stand firm against marxist pomeranians.

[backstory]

99% of Aussie trees are ever green. My boys are Aussie natives, and get Aussie native branches as treats

Both callistemon AND banksia are currently in bloom (think high sugar treat, resulting crash)

Rolling Stones are mutually agreeable with both of them. So this video is just starting their Stones CD, and the boys chilling as a result. Older one is pretty much asleep now, younger one not far off

I know that my accent is generally not understandable. So, I say "We're just settling in for a nap" "Do you want the blind closed" and "Good night Chook mans"

They had been calling me in the other room, wanting this part of their routine

@DogMan, I once knew a parrot who had a psychotic loathing for the voice of Paul Simon. He would attack the speakers mounted up in the corners of the room every time we tried to play Graceland or anything else from his catalogue.

But the little fucker loved AC/DC. He’d sit on his branch and bop up and down listening to Back In Black.

And he ate chicken, which I always found disquieting. I have scars on my right hand from when he bit me as I was shooting him away from my plate.

Have I been living my life wrong? It all made sense at the time.
