Apparently no one has, in fact, told the Amish

Recommended Posts

In the news today, it seems that an Iowa man just held a horse auction that attracted 600 people, mostly Amish. He sold 150 horses. He wanted to sell his horses so he could move to Ohio. One is uncertain whether Ohio would be considered an upgrade from Iowa, but this is beside the point. Because of the vagueness of Iowa's restrictions, the gathering was not in violation of any order, though the Governor has since decreed that livestock auctions can have no more than 10 participants, 25 if the animals are food animals.

All this equivocating! All these exceptions! California has sensibly closed churches, but Florida has decided that churches need to be open, even though data has been showing that high numbers of coronavirus cases are being traced back to church gatherings. And - funerals. See how crafty this virus is? It even sets up the situation for infecting new victims by killing the ones closest to them.

Meanwhile, in Mexico, the Governor of one Mexican state has proclaimed that the poor are immune to the virus, and in Japan, Abe Shinzo is refusing to declare a state of emergency, but has prudently announced a plan to issue two (2) cloths masks per household. At the end of the month. #ScrewYourTwoMasks is apparently trending in Japan. In Ecuador, people have begun leaving the bodies of the dead out on the sidewalk for want of any other place to put them. If this goes on, we'll soon see men moving down the streets with carts, shouting "Bring out your dead!" and there won't be anything the least bit funny about it.

I have 10 times the anxiety that I need and they seem to have one tenth of the anxiety that they need, if there was only some way I could give it away to them.

Try sneezing on them? Lots of things are communicable that way, I hear.

I had honestly wondered about the Amish, because they’re all over the place where I live. Guess they’ll find out soon when Walmart implements the x-number of customers only allowed at one time.

I don't know much about the Amish but it doesn't seem like a cult to me. The Jehovah's Witnesses are using this as a sign of the end of days and recruiting people, it's very manipulative. The watchtower I should say, the witnesses themselves are lovely people.  Then of course that cult in S. Korea intentionally infected their people and if it wasn't for them the outbreak there would have been miniscule

Some people just don't care about these stay at home orders......The Gov of California issued a shelter in place/stay at home order effective on March 20....The very next day, the beaches were packed....**SIGH**

For instance, this was Huntington Beach, California on March 21, 2020:

Oh dear god, Redhead, that's so so awful. That's so so awful. We could see very clearly what was happening in Spain and Italy (don't look, no one here is suffering from toxic positivity like those people are).. what the hell were they doing... and by now many of them will have sick neighbours or family members and their toxic positivity will help them convince themselves it can't possibly have been them that spread it

I've never been so grateful for the governor of my state (MD).  That said, it's not the CA governor's fault if people are idiots and assholes and ignore the orders.

A Facebook friend who lives there, who is a doctor,  just went on a rant about Huntington Beach, so it seems to still be going on.

Just read that the governor of Georgia issued the stay at home order... and reopened a popular tourist beach. Town has to comply. I’m so infuriated I can barely think straight.

Every once in a while a well-regulated militia doesn’t sound so bad. If I lived on Tybee Island, I’d be real tempted to join my fellow citizens in an effort to keep my home closed.

The problem with a militia is when most of the people who own guns are the very ones who are brainwashed into thinking that anything involving an increase in rules MUST be an excuse and must be a hoax of some kind

hashtag not all gun owners
