Does anyone else feel guilty

I am having a hard time but I almost feel like I don't have the right to ask the pdoc for help.  I am considering cancelling my appointment because why do I think I have the right to ask for help when the whole world is in the same mess?  Anyone else struggling with this?

Of course you have the right to help and support. To look at your comment another way, everyone has that right. Those of us here at CB are just a bit ahead of the curve.

I think you should keep your appointment. Nobody wins if you suffer.

Psychiatrists aren’t dealing with COVID, they are only dealing with their normal patients. It’s business as normal for them right now. Your psychiatrist is happy to get paid to see you, that’s her/his job.

My neurologist was having normal business hours and it was business as usual. I did a consultation with my pain doc by phone last week.

Toad - Your MI isn’t interested in what the coronavirus is doing. It’s just tootling along as it always does, finding ways to make life difficult for you. As far as it’s concerned, Covid-19 is just some badass who rode a Harley into the neighborhood to stir things up, and when it’s gone your MI will still be right there with you like an uninvited houseguest who will. not. leave.

See your pdoc as you normally would.

I felt a little guilty but then I figured life goes on, I still need to take care of myself. I think pdocs expect and welcome us keeping appointments right now.
