dancesintherain
is this a thing? is it possible to have a migraine wake you up? or is it just a really bad coicidence? it's not the worst migraine I've had by far and I'll get off this and lay down. but I wanted to ask while it was on my mind. dancesintherain
thanks---sorry you experience it also, but it helps to know it's not a freak occurrence. it went away mostly. I have a bit of photosensitivity and a mild headache but nothing major.
Unstrung Harp
Yes, it happens to me sometimes. Sometimes I’m conscious of being in pain and semi-aware I should take meds but I have trouble rousing myself, and then the migraine generally ends up pretty bad. KJ
Absolutely a thing. I used to think that my migraines were caused by a bad sleep, then I realised that it was the migraine (sometimes not even painful yet) that was causing the bad sleep and waking me up. These are usually the worst ones I get, although now that I've bitten the bullet (I have multiple stroke factors) and am taking 'triptans, I can usually keep the pain to a minimum. But not the neurological symptoms.
Duelist
I get them so bad I puke, like upon waking. I know it's a short time before I have to hit the bathroom and hold on for dear life in the dark. Awul. I can't take Imitrex anymore but I do take something for them, thank God it still works. Anyway, I am gonna try Aimovig tomorrow, kinda scared but hopeful. Dr had a sample and will give it to me tomorrow. Hoping for a good result.
